Slurry Storage Covers
The Government has put slurry storage covers high on the agenda in an attempt to curtail ammonia emissions and hit net zero targets. In fact, covers, or possibly a thick crust as a minimum, will become compulsory by 2027. This, combined with the fact grants for covered slurry stores are likely to become available this year (2022), means covers are an important consideration for all slurry storage projects. This dairy insight is designed to be read alongside Slurry Storage Options.
